The title ‘Trust is a Taonga’ grew out of the initial theme ‘Collaborative Media Partnerships’, which implies a relationship of trust and integrity. This highlighted RNZ’s reputation for having ‘the highest level of trust of any New Zealand media organisation’.

With a nod to NZ’s modernist painter, Gordon Walters and the traditional iconography of Māori art, I adapted the koru motif which also resonated with RNZ’s logo.
